can anyone tell me why i get better pics from my 1.3mp cam fone than my 5mp digi cam?
the camera on my lg chocolate is 1.3 mega pixels my digital camera is 5 mega pixels thats genuine mega pixels not by interpolation by interpolation its 8 mega pixels but my mobile cam takes better pics i only bought the camera to take pics for ebay im no david bailey so i dont need a 12+ mega pixel camera but i thought 5 would be enough
Which 5mp digital camera do you have? What is wrong with the images? Color? sharpness?
The 1.3 shots look good because they are small and low resolution. Take your 5mp shots and shrink them a little and they will look good too. That’s why the only way to judge a camera is by the prints.
I would guess that the auto WB on your camera phone is better than the WB on your 5mp, which affects color. I suspect you also hold the camera phone more steady than the 5mp camera.
Finally, depending upon the brand, a 5mp camera quality will vary. That’s because internal chips in the camera process the data. Cheap cameras don’t process as well as the expensive digitals or name brand cameras, because cheap cameras use cheap encoding chips.
