Would a Polaroid 3.0 MP Digital Camera be good for taking pictures of my art or should I get a better camera?
Is a Polaroid 3.0 MP Digital Camera a good camera for taking pictures of my artwork or should I buy a camera with more mega-pixels for a clearer picture of my art? Any help is appreciated.
Target is having a sale on Polaroid 3.0 MP Digital Cameras for $24.99 and I am thinking of buying one.
The camera you need will have to be able to focus exactly on the art work.
If you will be doing this much in the future, you will want a better camera than Polaroid makes, 3 mp or 10 mp.
Just about any camera listed on http://www.dpreview.com will do the job depending upon the size of your work. Plan on spending from $100 to $150 on a suitable camera with a 3x optical zoom and auto-focus
The key to great shots of your artwork is making sure that the cameras back is parallel to the art (using a tripod will help a lot) and that the lighting is even across the whole piece (two incandescent lamps at 45 degrees to your work). Of course you will have to set the white balance to match the incandescent lamps you will be using to light your work.
