a Magnet under a Microscope?
looking at a fridge magnet under my cheap Walmart microscope at 100x power, using a mini flash light shining from the top/side kinda looks like looking at the universe with millions of illuminated dots against the dark back ground….Whats being illuminated??
Your “magnet” has millions of tiny pieces of magnetized iron held in plastic or rubber. Your light is reflecting off some of the exposed surfaces of those iron pieces.
Keep looking at all sorts of things, and you will see light reflecting in many ways. Sometimes you can see small pieces because of their colors. To look at parts of plants or insects you can sometimes see pieces better by putting in some colored dye because some parts absorb the color and others don’t.
