The standard answer is “it depends on what you want to do with it”, but generally speaking this is a decent configuration, other than the hard drive is a bit small (320 GB and up is pretty standard on a laptop these days). As to whether it’s a “good buy” or not, that all depends on the price. Is it new or used? What brand is it? If it’s a brand new Toshiba Satellite for $300, for example, then it’s a great buy. If it’s two-year old used Dell for $700, then … not so much.
