MacBook Pro vs. Thinkpad T410 for freshman in Computer Science and Engineering Major.?
Which one should I get? Price isn’t an issue.

Actually the Nvidia Quadro NVS 3100M is a relatively weak graphics card, if you are ever planning to use this to run 3d applications or gaming. The only thing superior for the Thinkpad is processing power.
Keep in mind:
1. The MBP is due for a refresh probably within the next 2 to 3 months…and certainly before school starts in September. The current MBP’s graphics card (even before the refresh) beats out the Lenovo…
2. MBP has one of the best LCDs on the market – take that into account if you think the display matters.
3. The Thinkpad model you pulled up is not really comparable to the MBP.. it targets different people. You are comparing a business model laptop to a high-end consumer model. It will be better to consider the Lenovo Y460 or Y560 (http://www.slashgear.com/lenovo-ideapad-y460-and-y560-get-core-i3-i5-i7-options-0567530/ ). They have very good specs, and available now for 60% the price of the MBP.
