Why is the endoscope so big?
I thought it would be small like IPOD ear headsets, and I just saw a video online of a person getting an edoscopic procedure for a stomach problem. They knocked her out, they taped a big plastic thing to her mouth with a big hole in the middle and then the doctor proceeded to push a giant black hose down her throat. HOW IS THIS SUPPOSED TO MAKE ME WANT TO GET ONE? I was horrified!
Now I am more disturbed than before. I thought it was MUCH smaller. Are there smaller ones?
It is fine. You will not even know what they are doing. Calm down. It really isn’t as big as you think. My throat didn’t even hurt after it was over. I was actually surprised about that. It felt raw down past my throat, but nothing big. Also listen to what they tell you not to eat after.
