Upgrading to Windows 7 PLEASE HELP?
Im about to get on with a new line rental, and it comes with a free laptop. The specs are below, and what i am worried about is the that it has XP instead of Vista or 7, so i will be downloading windows 7.
• Dell Inspiron Black Mini 10 • 10.1″ LED screen • Intel® 1.3GHZ Atom processor • 1GB RAM • 160GB Hard Drive • Wi-Fi •Webcam • 2 USB Ports • 4-in-1 Memory Card Reader • Windows XP® Home Edition
Im not worried about the hard drive size, its plenty but will 1.3GhZ speed be not good enough, and my main question; Will upgrading effect the laptop negatively in any way – especially with the mediocre specs of this one?? (by the way, it is a mini notebook – in case this affects it)

Sell it and buy a better mini laptop. You will be disappointed in its performance. Especially if you are planning on buying win7 anyway. You can sell these little buys for about $200. Wait until black friday and buy a nice $500 laptop with win7 already installed.
