Cannon lens compatability (Will an old Cannon lns fromthe 80′s work on a modern cannon digital slr?)?
Ok, my girlfriends parents recently bought a brand new Nikon Digital SLR. When they did so they took out their old camera stuff. They had what was a very nice cannon camera from the 80′s. They also had a few lenses, including one which I believe had cost them more than the camera had. She said it had like up to 200x zoom or something. The lens was like 7 inches long or something.
Anyway, would this lens work on a modern cannon camera? I know it won’t work w/ the nikon, but if they could sell it and buy a similar lens for the nikon it’d be great. How about a current cannon digital slr? In either case, is it valuable?
On a side note, the camera itself broke. Do you think this would have any value, to a collector or something?
Canon changed all their lenses and camera bodies when the EOS camera line was introduced.
You can sell the lenses on eBay or craigslist. List the lenses she has and maybe we can get some ballpark figures for you.
Both the new entry level Nikon and Canon DSLR’s are good and will produce fine photos.
