Want to create very large print out of my 4.1 mp digital images. Best way/cost effectiveness??
Hi, I want to create a very large print out of a digital image I took in a 4.1MP camera. Now I understand that, it can’t be enlarged beyond a point. So to apply little more artistic effect (Photosop to rescue), first I want to divide the image to 4 parts. Individually take each image, apply some kinda Photoshop artistic filter such as oil pastel or water color, and order enlarged prints. Once the prints arrive, join them to create a large (something like 45″x60″) painting sorta thing to use as a wallhanging. Has anyone done such a thing. Any pointers will be appreciated. Also, if some suggestion on a cost effective large online printing service, I will appreciate it.
There would be no real reason to break it up into sections, then combine them.
If you check around, you will probably find someone nearby who can do an ink jet or “giclee” print for you on a large printer that holds 40×60 inch paper, or even larger. That would be the way to go.
With such a small file you are going to have problems holding resolution, but some would call that “art”.
