how close with an electric microscope can you go? like with a light microscope it would be 400x!?
I’m guessing you mean an “electron microscope”. An electron microscope is quite different from an optical microscope because it uses a beam of electrons to “bounce” off the object, rather than a stream of light. Because electrons have much shorter wavelengths than does light, then you would be able to resolve much smaller objects with an electron microscope.
So while the best optical microscopes could go to 2000x, an electron microscope can go to around 2,000,000x.
