what video camera is right for me?
I’m looking to buy a video camera (camcorder, not digital camera with video capabilities). I’d like it to have decent optical and digital zoom (like 25x and 800x+, maybe?), take still photos fairly well (my digital camera is worn out, lol). I’ll need to be able to easily upload the videos to the computer, I don’t know exactly what that requirement is called, lol… and the video quality should be nice and clear when burned to a CD.
Some optional features that I’d like include (these aren’t necessary, really):
–SD memory card capabilities
–Metallic gray, instead of silver (the smoke color, lol)
–Lots of features would be nice
–A big LCD screen would be better, but any decent size is fine
–A swivel screen is definitely a want–not a necessity, but close to one. 
I’d really like one
–Size isn’t really a factor… something closer to the 3D rectangle and less of a cube would be best, haha.
I’m looking to get this for about $250-$450! Thanks.
From the description, SD memory card, take still photos, PC connection, I am assuming that you want a digital camcorder. From the price range you gave, here are some choices:

Hitachi DZGX20A (MY BEST choice) – 240 x Digital zoom, 10 x Optical zoom, 3″ DVD-R, 2.7 in LCD, SD Memory Card, $420
(it saves straight to DVD!!!, no need to connect to PC)
Canon ZR700 – 1000 x Digital zoom, 25 x Optical zoom, 2.7 in LCD, Mini DV, SD Memory Card, $302.
