Does the skywatcher acuter digital spotting scope help illuminate the sky at night?
B&Hphotos has a digital spotting scope that can record and take stills. I was wondering if anyone had one and does it illuminate the sky at night?
What is your light source?
How much of the night sky is reflective? Moon’s and planets are all I am aware of and the sun is the light source.
Have you considered the inverse square law and how it would apply to any light source aimed at the sky?
Since all the light you will be viewing is not digitized, my guess is that what is digital about the scope is its camera, not the spotting scope.

Whether you buy it for the purposes you mention in the question, at least you have a good range of costs to consider
