What is the best Compact Digital Camera out now…?
Looking for a good digital camera… high on my priorities are a decent 3″ LCD screen, effective image stabiliser, image quality, and optical zoom seems to be a good tool to have… although I’m uncertain how important as it is hard to find +3x.
I’m not a guru and not ‘too’ concerned about the finer details, but I obviously I want the best I can get. Willing to pay up to $500.
Photos will include scenic (rocky mountains) and some sport although I don’t (think) I will require real close ups, probably more a panoramic view of things. Which makes me think the optical need drops off?
So far my research has led me to the following cameras…
Canon IXUS 860IS
PANASONIC DMC-TZ3 (for 10x Optical Zoom – but concerned about image quality compared to Canon)
