what is x zoom in video camera?
I want to know that what is the meaning of 25 X zoom or 40 X zoom in video cameras?
X means times the magnification of the lens. You can use the lens at it’s widest position, say 32.5mm and zoom it out to say 650mm. But the type of lens and the type and size of the camera sensor should be considered. A 20X optical zoom on a pro camcorder will look much sharper than say a 35X on a consumer-grade palm-sized cam (using a small sensor).
