I need digital camera to click photos of the magnified image produced by a microscope (details below) – help!?

I want to buy a digital camera (should not cost more than $400) that is capable of capturing the magnified view produced by a microscope (basically the aim is to take photos of magnified view of cells, bacteria, etc., as seen under a microscope). Are there cameras that attach to a microscope?

You can get a variety of adapters that allow you to connect a camera to a telescope and /or a microscope. You can do a search to find them. Telescopes.com has some and you can easily find them on ebay. I have an adapter for a telescope that also fits on some microscopes, provided they use 1.25″ eyepieces. The adapters can cost anywhere from about $50 to $200. Most are designed for SLR cameras or cameras with a particular filter thread and there are a few designed for any camera (not the best results).
