What’s the best VIDEO mode camera out there. My kodak CX7300 3.2mega-pixel cam is ok. But Video mode =grainy?
Camera takes nice pix, but the video mode is grainy, 30 sec duration time, no sound…..
What’s the best VIDEO MODE camera out there that takes clear/crisp video but doesn’t cost a ton??
Another con is that there is NO Zoom with the video mode.
The CX7300 is an outdated camera which has a poor quality movie mode (320×240 @ 15fps). And no audio!
Newer cameras today, now mostly record videos (with audio) in VGA quality (640×480 @ 30fps).
But, even newer cameras have better video capability. They can now record in HD (high definition) or Full HD (1920×1080 @ 30fps).
One new model from Canon which is now available in the US…the SX1 IS, can record videos in Full HD and also in stereo sound. It also allows you to zoom while recording videos.
Canon have some other models that can record in HD (1280×720 @ 30fps).
The higher the quality the video, the larger the video files will be, so you need to make sure you have a large capacity card.
So, I’m sure that any new camera you buy in future will be far better than your CX7300 in both image and video quality. Even 640×480 @ 30fps is quite good quality for videos, though this is also dependent on the particular camera brand. Some are not as good as others.
