How many pictures will a 16 GB SDHC card hold?
My camera is a Canon 60D (18 Mega pixels) I’m not going to be shooting in RAW… Just normal Jpeg. The card i got cost $180 – its a SanDisk Extreme, Class 10. 30MB/s. 200x read/write, so i know its fast, but how many pics will it hold?
Also, it’s not as important to me, but how long of videos (1080p) could i take? Thanks in advance

Far too many.
It is a better plan to carry four 4 gb cards and copy all the images to your notebook at the end of each day.
There are far too many cases where large cards become corrupted when the users don’t routinely copy their image files to their computer and format the card, refreshing it and preparing it for its next use.
If you look in your cameras user manual, you will see there is a chart that tells you how many high resolution JPEG files can be stored on a certain size card. From that point all you have to do is do the math
