USB port problem. Please help me if you are knowledgeable of computers.?
My USB ports are getting power, I know this because when I plug something in with led’s it lights up. The problem is my computer isn’t recognizing anything I plug in. Even when I click start/my computer, it says drive C, D, E ,A, but no removable which used to start with removable F and continue so on. I tried to update the drivers for the ports but It says there are no drivers better suited for my application, and that they are operating correctly. So I can’t upload pictures from my camera and I cant download music to my ipod. Is there maybe a setting somewhere that needs to be tweaked to make my removable storage devices appear in (my computer). Basically how do I make it so I can use my ipod again and put pictures on my computer?
It sounds like your USB hub has failed on your computer.
