Question about saliva fertility predictor?
Hello, I read that when you’re most fertile you get a “ferning” pattern in your saliva, well, I looked at the pictures…I have a microscope that I’m looking at under 300-500x and I have small pieces that each have the “ferning” pattern in them, but not one big ferning thing….is that still a fertile time or is it possibly transitional?? Or does it have to be one big “ferning” pattern?? Please if anyone can help.

Rather than looking at your saliva under the microscope, look at your vaginal discharge. It changes chemically when the estrogen level drops and the progesterone level rises (at ovulation). It becomes much more adhesive (strings out into long strands, rather than being as watery), and actually creates little paths, as they were, for sperm to swim to the cervix.
I’ve never looked at the discharge under the microscope. It is such a noticeable change, that the microscope is really not needed. Use a basal thermometer and just pay attention to the discharge.
